Dining Out

Polish restaurants have not yet fully incorporate a habit of serving lunch during given hours, although quite a lot of them have special lunch menu and serve business meals. However, having breakfast in some coffe bar would not be a problem.

You can try fast-food bars, pubs, dinners and restaurants and choose among all kinds of international food. There are of course places specialized in typical Polish cuisine. Still exclusively Polish are milk bars - relicts from the soviet era, back then they served mostly dairy- and vegetarian food.

Cafés are most favourite places for social meetings, all day long. Cafés serve alcoholic drinks, all day long too.

Tipping is not mandatory in any way, but rounding the total sum by few zlotys (or making it ca 10 percent) as appreciation for the service is common.
