Shopping

Mokotow MallThere are a lot of shopping areas in Warszawa in which all kind of goods will be found. One of the most prominent streets is the ulica Marszalkowska which is lined with shops, cafés, theatres and restaurants. It has, as earlier mentioned, always been and still is the commercial heart of Warszawa. Zlote tarasy (Golden terraces) - modern mall near the central railway station, has around 200 shops.
At the Galeria Mokotow and now very popular Arkadia, one of the largest malls in Europe, you will typically find everything from matchboxes to cars.

Looking for books you can visit Empik Megastore at Nowy Swiat /Aleje Jerozolimskie, two floors filled with books, magazines and newspapers in Polish as well as in English. An English book store is to be found in Arkadia, too.
